Everton willing to pay £10m for brilliant defender
Everton are back in the chase for fantastic Celtic defender Virgil Van Dijk according to the Scottish Sun.
Van Dijk has long been on the radar of the toffees and was linked a number of times before he left Groningen for Celtic in 2013.
According to the report, the Dutchman is the top target for Everton boss Roberto Martinez and he is willing to meet Celtics £10m asking fee.
The classy centre-back is being reported to be the replacement for John Stones should the Englishman leave the club, but Everton need to also replace Sylvain Distin and Antolin Alcaraz who both left the club in the summer.

Wanyama, Ledley and Forster have all excelled in the EPL after moving from Celtic. If this guy can make the same transition then Everton will have a class act on their hands.
Please sign Van Dijk asap Roberto, scored 12 goals as well. And bid 14m for Austin see what QPR say!! You dont bid you dont get!!!!!!
Wouldn’t mind Van Dijk. We need a third experienced central defender in case of injuries or supensions, so we don’t force too much pressure on our youngsters.
