    CHAMPIONSHIP clubs Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich all want Everton’s Irish Under-21 defender Shane Duffy on loan according to the Star

    Duffy’s progression has been hampered by the form of Phil Jagielka and Sylvain Distin alongside the emergence of John Stone, and Everton are believed to be keen to send him out on loan to get some much needed first team experience.
    It is now down to the 21 year old centre half as to which club he chooses
    The Republic of Ireland youth international made three appearances for Everton last season, and has had previous loan spells away from Goodison Park at Burnley and Scunthorpe United respectively.
