Conor McAleny’s loan spell at Brentford has been cancelled.
The 21-year-old joined the Bees on a six-month deal in July but fractured his right tibia in just his fourth appearance for the League One club.
Considering the circumstances, all parties have now mutually agreed to cut short the striker’s stay at Griffin Park.
McAleny suffered the injury when he challenged for the ball with Adam Chambers in Brentford’s home match against Walsall on Saturday 23 August.
The striker has now returned to Finch Farm and is expected to miss the majority of the 2013/14 season as he embarks on the long period of rehabilitation.
