It might be just one of those wierd natural phenomenon brought on by the extraordinary heatwave that the North West is enjoying at the moment….but aren’t the flies gathering in their masses? They circle impatiently, anxiously awaiting their next feed, starving for a few hours at least since the super-hyped-mega-Rooney bid by Chelsea was made.
I know he’s a United player but I thought it was worth my time writing this because he admittedly remains an Everton fan and I can’t help feeling that there must be the odd moment (for instance when Everton beat United) that Wayne of old doth miss the robes of Blue and White and but for the kings ransome he receiveth would gladly returneth to the star factory that made him.
Yes the debate’s probably run as dry as the hosepipes we wont be able to use soon but the prospect of Rooney once again showing interest in playing for Everton and the reaction from the fans would be tantalising.
Imagine it for just a few seconds…Wayne Rooney decides that he has amassed a personal fortune and United no longer hold the key to his dreams. He is a father now and has matured. He realises whats important in life… self realisation.. self satisfaction…Once a Blue always a Blue…a statement he made that proved to be as fickle as support itself sometimes.
Lets face it…despite being the reason that United and indeed England have managed to maintain integrity was largely due to Mr Rooney and his endevours but Van the man made him look ordinary last season and if he can do it…who will be next to take away the spotlight? If United are well known for benching quality then Chelsea must be the title holders in that respect…so this handsome and beautifully rotund Evertonian has come to the conclusion that Wayne like any man must follow his heart.
Sod off abroad and don’t look back for a few seasons Wayne! Then come back to England when it’s a choice between Everton and any other club who stays semi-sane wage-wise.
Straight swap with Fellaini?
All very well, but it’s Paul Stretford not Wayne making all of this happen.Agents are scum.
Agents are motivated by money, only get money when they move,
That said, I would gladly swap felliani and rooney, personally I think Felliani is overrated. He will continue to have controversy follow him around due his looks and style, his temperament is suspect (not saying rooney’s isn’t)
I think Rooney would give his all if he came back, not sure we get that from the big fella.
