Marouane Fellaini thanked Everton fans for their support over the last five years as he departed for Manchester United.
The Belgian’s £27.5m switch to the Old Trafford club has now been rubber-stamped, along with the £6m deal which sawVictor Anichebe head to West Brom.
Both transfers went right down to the 11pm Monday night deadline and required overnight ratification from the Premier League, which has now been processed.
Fellaini signed for Everton from Standard Liege back in 2008 and made 177 appearances for the Blues, scoring 33 times.
He said: “I had a fantastic time at Everton and I’d like to thank all the fans and staff there for everything they have done for me.”
Anichebe moves to the Hawthorns after 166 outings in a Blue shirt during which time he notched on 25 occasions.
