Leroy Fer has commented saying he is still open to a move to Everton in the summer.
The Blues made a move for Fer in the January transfer window and had the deal all but sealed, but after finding a historic knee problem in the medical, Everton executives tried to change the deal to 2 million up-front and 8 million in instalments with appearances having a major role in the distribution of the money.
The midfield Dutchman said: “Everton have done nothing wrong. I understand the choices that were made. During the second half of the season, they have always kept in touch with my agent. I’m still always open for a transfer to Everton.”
Seen him play albeit once – not convinced. Barkley as good if not better option.
strewth – Have to go against you here, no offense. I have seen him play 2/3 times, and he was exceptional. Write in some sort of “knee injury and then no pay clause” and I would take the chance. Thing is – I want more strikers, not midfielders as a priority. Also replacement for 1 maybe 2 duff defenders.
