    Henen has opted to sign for Everton on a permanent deal

    Evertons onloan striker David Henen is set to sign for the club on a permanent deal as expected after making his intentions to stay on Merseyside known to his agent.

    The 19 year old Belgian forward took to twitter to announce his decision to stay and the club will take up a £200k option to sign the player.

    In a strange Evertonesque transfer, Henen trained with the blues for a month before signing with Olympiakos on transfer deadline day.  He was then immediately transferred to Everton, leading many to believe that the Greek deal was done to bypass Belgian transfer rules.

    Henen has impressed for the under 21’s this season announced the news in his native tongue on twitter.
