Phil Jagielka believes that Romelu Lukaku can be a massive player for Everton and thinks he can help to improve our other strikers
He said: “If he can repeat that sort of form for us it will be magnificent. I’ve played against him and he’s a big strong striker. He’s got pace, he’s got power and more often than not he finds the target.”
Lukaku was the top-flight’s sixth highest scoring striker last season, and England international Jagielka insists his capture further bolsters Everton’s impressive attacking options.
“Last season he scored 17 goals for West Brom,” he said. “If we can get him firing on all cylinders we’ll have a real threat.
“We’ve got Jela and Arouna (Kone) already so we’ll have three strikers who can hopefully put each other under pressure and do the business.”
