John Stones is yet to taste defeat for Everton. The defender has slotted seamlessly into the Under-21 set-up since arriving from Barnsley in January – and the young Blues haven’t lost in that period.
They will take that unbeaten record to Middlesbrough on Monday afternoon with aspirations of topping the league table still burning brightly.
“There is a good feeling,” Stones told evertontv.
“To go 11 games unbeaten is a good achievement but we want to take that to the end of the season. That is our goal – and to win the league.”
Monday afternoon’s fixture at Boro’s Rockliffe Park training ground follows a 1-1 draw with rivals Fulham last time out.
“We never take teams for granted,” insisted Stones.
“We will give them respect because they will always have a spell in a game where they can be dangerous. but we will go there with a winning attitude and go about the game correctly.”
