    Koeman would have liked all the players in early

    Everton manager Ronald Koeman would have liked all of his Everton stars back in time for the start of pre-season training, but understands that he has inherited a squad full of internationals so this isn’t possible.

    A further 7 players reported for duty today, leaving just Romelu Lukaku as the sole player not back yet following the Euros.

    “The perfect scenario would have been to start with everybody. But that’s not really the football business in the last few years.

    “You know after a European Championship you will need to start later on.

    “The players except for Lukaku will all start [today]. Then we will have almost everybody back and that’s good because then we can start really to work on the team for the season.”

    1. Still need 6 players, keeper, striker, centre back, attacking midfield etc. Get Cillesen & Haller in before end of month, give fans something to chew on!
