Everton have signed striker Lacina Traore on loan from French Club AS Monaco until the end of the season.
Traore, a 23-year-old Ivory Coast international, was granted a work permit on Tuesday and terms for the completion of the deal have now been agreed although he still awaits a visa before being allowed to play.

At 6ft 8ins, Traore becomes one of the Premier League’s tallest players and arrives at Goodison Park after signing for Monaco earlier in the window from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala.
His career in Europe actually began as a teenager back in 2008, when he joined Romania’s CFR Cluj from homeland side Stade d’Abidjan.
A compatriot of injured Blues striker Arouna Kone, he gained Champions League experience with Cluj before being signed by Russia’s Kuban Krasnodar in 2011, scoring 18 goals that season and catching the eye of rivals Anzhi.
Fourteen goals helped the Eagles finish third in the Russian Premier League in 2012/13 and he hit one in seven appearance before making his move to the Stade Louis II earlier this month.
