    Ledson lifts the cup

    Young Everton midfield player Ryan Ledson has lifted the European under 17’s trophy as his England side overcame the Netherlands in a penalty shoot-out in Malta.

    The sides were drawing 1-1 at the end of time and required a Jonjoe Kenny penalty to seal victory to win the cup.

    Kenny and Ledson have starred for England throughout the tournament, which has seen the likes of Ross Barkley and Connor Wickham in the past.

    The tournament has been a good learning experience for the young blues, with both players featuring heavily to good reviews.
