    Leeds and Middlesbrough eye Everton defender

    Young Everton defender Matthew Pennington is attracting interest from some big clubs in the championship as Middlesbrough and Leeds United look to make an approach.

    The Yorkshire Post is one of a number of papers that are reporting on the potential move and the 22 year old may feel that now is the right time to leave the club.

    Penningtons appearances may be hindered by the signing of Michael Keane and he may look to make the move to the Championship to earn game time at a decent standard.

    Pennington made 3 Premier League appearances for Everton last season scoring once.
