A MAN was charged with stabbing an Everton fan in Liverpool after the EFC vs Queens Park Rangers match.
EFC supporter Nikolas Lintott, 20, was walking along Priory Road in Anfield when he saw a scuffle and tried to intervene.
The attack happened minutes after the end of the Blues’ 2-0 victory at Goodison on Saturday, April 13.
Leon Jason Hughes, who is believed to be an away supporter, was charged with GBH and possession of an offensive weapon.
The 24-year-old, of Eastleigh Walk, London, will appear at Liverpool City Magistrates Court this morning
Glad to hear it. As a QPR fan, I was disgusted by this incident and, like many other Rs fans, can only apologise for what happened to Mr Lintott.
John G, you can not be responsible for every dickhead who follows your club. He doesn’t represent your support, who in truth aren’t bad at all.
As a QPR fan I would like to pass on my good wishes and a speedy recovery to Mr Lintott.
As David mentioned we as supporters can not be held responsible for one dickhead, but I know this incident caused alot of embarrasment to the QPR family.
Good luck to Everton, and hopefully you will be able to see what the real fans of QPR are like the season after next!!!
Hi Paul, I dont think any NORMAL footy fan would even think about taking a knife! I don’t think Evertonians would see this as a reflection on QPR fans. Best of luck for next season 🙂
I can only reiterate what other QPR fans have posted. A horrendous incident that reflects badly on all Hoops Fans. I hope for a speedy recovery to MR Lintott and apologies to all Toffees fans and good luck in the last few games of the season.
