Martinez: Deulofeu and Coleman ready for Tottenham
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has told a press conference that right-back Seamus Coleman is fit to play Spurs and also hinted that Gerard Deulofeu looks like he will make the squad too.
Coleman has been missing for a few weeks since suffering a minor soft tissue injury towards the end of January and Barca loanee Deulofeu has returned to full training after suffering a hamstring injury just before the Christmas period.
Martinez also confirmed that loan signing Lacina Traore is also getting close to making his debut after stepping up his training regime to overcome injury and build fitness.
He said: “They are very important players and we have had good news on them. I would say Seamus is probably in the right category [to play].
“Gerard is back from Spain, is training and is really excited and enthusiastic about getting back. Obviously we will have to assess him to see how quickly we can get him match fit. From a medical point of view, he is fit and that’s really positive and we have to make sure we give him the right doses of work.
“We’re really excited at having those two back. Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka came through the game against Aston Villa with no problems. We are getting important numbers alongside Lacina Traore, who is working well on a daily basis and getting close to being ready to make his full debut.”

A really interesting match up,isn’t it? Spurs usually fly up and down that wing, with Lennon or Townsend supporting their fullback. How will they manage against Seamus and Aidan?Towards the end when they are tiring, what will they make of Gerard? Over on the left Steven P has a bit of unfinished business too.I can see us getting something from this match.
I can if they go 4-4-2 like they normally do
