EVERTON want Sylvain Distin to stay at Goodison for the rest of his footballing life with boss Roberto Martinez confirming that age is no barrier.
And the French defender will be 36 when his deal is up for discussion next June.
Martinez, despite bringing in seven new faces since becoming Toffees boss in June, is determined to keep hold of one of the club’s longest-serving players.
The Spaniard said: “He’s a terrific example of a player who will be here for as long as he wants. When you work with players like him you realise that age is insignificant.
