Martinez: Mirallas is getting stronger and sharper
Everton manager Roberto Martinez expects Super Kevin Mirallas to have a storming second half of the season as the Spaniard believes that the Belgium winger gets stronger the longer the season goes on.
Mirallas has been back to his best in the last couple of matches, showing the pace and skill that initially made Everton fans believe that they had a player. Mirallas started the season quite slowly, despite adding a number of assists, but Martinez fully believes that Mirallas will be quicker and sharper from now until the end of the season.
He told evertontv: “His overall contributions against Stoke and Norwich were of the highest standard and I do feel he is going to get stronger and better because he is a very fit footballer and the more the season goes on, the sharper he gets.
“Kevin has been working really hard. He is one of those players who will benefit in the second half of the season from all the work he did in pre-season.
“He is now probably reaching his peak; physically when he is at his best, it is difficult to stop him.
“It is really exciting to see how he finishes the final third of the season.”
