Martinez names 5 youngsters he thinks will progress to the first team
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed the names of 5 youngsters that he feels will benefit from the teams warm weather training in Qatar and that includes 2 goalkeepers.
The Catalan feels that Conor McAleny will benefit the most, but also includes Tyias Browning, Luke Garbutt and goalkeepers Russell Griffiths and Jindrich Stanek as players that could force their way into the first team.
“I think the younger players, the ones who have been involved with the first team, have a unique opportunity to show that they are ready,” said Martinez. “They want to carry on participating with the first team.
“I think young Conor McAleny, who has had a difficult start to the season, has had a very good period of working consistently. This time away will be important to highlight how fresh and how sharp he is looking.
“It is the same for Tyias Browning and Luke Garbutt. We also have Jindrich Stanek joining the group on top of Russell Griffiths, and those are footballers that we feel have the potential to contribute to the first team.
“That is something that is going to be tested in that environment.”

Unique, I would have said phonominal myself
Luke Tyias Russell defo, haven’t seen Stanek! Would also like to see Lundstram, Grant, Green, Pennington doing great at Coventry, Ledson, Kennedy and Hope given a chance!!
Hope has left the club mate. In all honesty, I don’t believe that Lundstram has it. The rest may do in time, certainly Kenny, Dowell, Long and Ledson are highly rated from he youngsters.
