Martinez: Tim Howard could return against Liverpool
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has said that number one goalkeeper Tim Howard could return to the first team this weekend in the Merseyside derby despite being warned that the goalie needs another week before returning to first team action.
The Yank glovesman has been out injured and his replacement Joel Robles has been deputising in the goal, but the Catalan hasn’t ruled him out of returning.
Martinez said: “Tim is training now and it will be important to make the right decision. He feels strong and ready, the medical advice is to give him another week.
“It is incredible how quick he has recovered. The medical advice is to give him another seven days.
“We will assess him over the next two or three days.”
