Everton manager Roberto Martinez remains focused on the job at hand despite the further media reports linking Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines with a Goodison Park exit.
Hours before the Blues’ 2-1 victory over Stevenage in the Capital One Cup, new rumours began circulating and they continued following Fellaini’s extra-time winner against the League One club.
Afterwards the Blues boss told the media: “There is nothing to comment on to our fans.
“As I said before, I’m not going to entertain any speculation. If there is anything to tell our fans, we will tell them.
“At the moment we are looking at it from a different perspective – we want to get one or two more bodies in.
“We are focused on the games and we are going to carry on working internally.”
Everton booked themselves a third-round trip to Fulham after Gerard Deulofeu equalised in stoppage time at the end of the first half.
Fellaini then won the tie deep into extra-time after emerging from substitutes’ bench.
