Martinez: We will build a special future on Besic
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has hailed Bosnian midfielder Muhamed Besic and says that the player is well ahead of schedule and that he hopes to build a special future around him.
Martinez also praised the character of Besic and says that you can fully rely on him despite coming from a different country and playing in a new league.
“Mo is a phenomenal character, first and foremost,” Martinez told the Liverpool Echo
“When you assess Mo Besic as a footballer you need to look into his character. He is someone you can rely on and someone you can build a special future on.
“The reality is that Mo has come from a different league and so to arrive into the Premier League and play the amount of games he has done is magnificent.
“And then becoming a master of a new position is going to take a bit of time. “
“But Mo is someone who has played a lot of football this season and his experiences are helping him develop all the time and he’s probably ahead of where I expected him to be.
“He is still a very young player and the best is still to come, especially with another pre-season under his belt.”
Has Besic impressed you?

This man is a fool, and I feel that people like myself have been equally foolish to have supported him for too long
That’s fair comment Roberto, but why did you sub Mo in many games, when he was our best player on pitch and Barry was playing rubbish?? Ummm. Please sell Barry, Kone & Alcaraz. Do get a quality keeper in, & 2 good strikers, as we’re well short up front! Sorted!!
Why does he praise each player in turn to the high heavens every bastard week. It is laughable, the players must get the piss ripped out of them at training when they get the obligatory ‘pat on the back’.
Are we confident for next season with this ‘herbert’. I do not think so!
