McCarthy: Signing McGeady is a good bit of business
Everton midfielder James McCarthy believe that Everton have conducted a good bit of business with the signing of his Republic of Ireland team mate Aiden McGeady. Winger Mcgeady has signed a four and a half year contract after completing a move from Russian club Spartak Moscow.
McGeady joins a strong number of Irish players joining James McCarthy, Shane Duffy (currently on loan with Yeovil Town), Seamus Coleman and the injured Darron Gibson in the Everton squad.
27 year old McGeady was presented to the 37,000 crowd before kick-off and McCarthy believes that his mate will go on to be a success.
“It’s a good bit of business for the Club and I’m sure he’ll do well here,” the midfielder told evertontv. “I didn’t have to sell the Club to him, I think he knows all about the Club and obviously he’s delighted to be here.
“He’s a tricky winger and I’m sure he’ll do well.”
