Mirallas: Lukaku will still get 20 goals this season
Kevin Mirallas has come out in support of his Everton and Belgium team mate Romelu Lukaku after the big Belgian put in a quiet performance against West Bromwich Albion. A hard fought 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns was the end result in a fairly drab affair and Lukaku had to feed off scraps after having the ball pummelled at neck height all game. Lukaku did manage to flick the ball on for Mirallas to open the scoring though.
Super Kev is fully confident that “The Beast” will start performing again soon though and says it is natural for players to have off days, especially at his age.
“I still think he’ll get 20 goals this season,” he said. “He has done very well for us. It’s normal for him to have off days because of his age. He’ll have spells where he doesn’t score for a few weeks but his mentality remains very good
“He might not have scored but he provided me with a very good assist.”
Does Lukaku need support or is it simply a lack of playing to his strengths? Have your say at www.theevertonforum.com
