Mourinho set to scupper Everton Yarmolenko move?
Everton could be set for a battle with Chelsea for Dynamo Kiev attacker Andriy Yarmolenko after Jose Mourinho scouted the Ukrainian winger during his countries loss to Spain lastnight.
Yarmolenko was close to joining the blues but the Kiev president ruled that Everton got in contact with their officials too late and they wouldn’t have had time to replace him before the Champions League.
A January move could still be a goer and his agent Vadim Shabily attended Goodison Park last week and discussions were thought to have taken place.
Yarmolenko is out of contract next summer and can sign a pre-contract agreement with a club outside of the Ukraine in January
Afterwards, his Ukraine team-mate Taras Stepanenko said: ‘I think Mourinho will be happy with what he saw from Yarmolenko.’
Has the Yarmolenko ship sailed?
