David Moyes has linked himself with the vacant Goodison Park hotseat.
Speaking to The Times former Blues manager said:
‘Would I consider going back? I’ve said if I get an exciting challenge and something that makes me feel I could get my teeth into it then I would be really interested,’
‘When we took over we had 11 great and successful years but we also had to rebuild the club a little bit. I just think now the change has been made and Everton need to now go and do it again.’
Then referring to himself in the third person, for some reason, Moyes said ‘If you give David Moyes an opportunity he tends to rebuild a club and he tends to get it going in the right direction and making sure that things are correct and I’m looking forward to getting the chance to do that again.’
Moyes has previously been linked with the vacant Aston Villa and Celtic jobs and has been unemployed since the end of 2015 after an unsuccessful spell with Real Sociedad. Moyes has been waiting for an opportunity to go back into management and will want to add to the Charity Shield he won with Man Utd in 2013.
Everton legend Joe Royle and David Unsworth will be in the dug-out for the final match of Everton’s season tomorrow at home to the already relegated Norwich City.
Would you want David Moyes back at Goodison Park or should the club now look forward to a new era?
