Naismith: Hopefully if I get my chance I will take it, but I’ll weight up options
Everton striker Steven Naismith has admitted that he may need to look elsewhere for first team football in January if he can’t force his way into the Everton first team again.
Naismith has suffered a severe lack of playing time since a move to Norwich failed to happen in the summer and says that he will speak to the manager about it in January if he doesn’t get the opportunity to play.
“When Norwich were interested in me in the summer, it was the manager who said he didn’t want it to happen. But as a player you need to think about all your options.
“The manager said we’d speak about it again come January time, so we’ll do that.
“At the moment I’m just concentrating on playing my football as part of a great squad and hopefully if I get my chance to play again, I take it.
“But you’ve got to weigh up all your options and see where you’re at.
“At the start of the season I wasn’t playing, then got thrown on nine minutes into the Chelsea game and not many people would’ve seen me scoring a hat-trick .
“That shows you how quickly it can change.”
Will Naismith stay at Everton?
