    Once again the transfer stories about Everton are in full flow and this one doesn’t seem to want to go away.  According to the Daily Star Everton are chasing Porto midfielder Fernando and Benfica midfielder Andre Gomes.

    Brazilian Fernando almost joined the blues last summer in a £15m move, but the deal hit the rocks and the player stayed with Porto but since then Everton scouts have been spotted at a number of Portuguese games watching potential targets.

    One other target that has caught the eye is Benfica midfielder Andre Gomes who has just been named in the Portugal World Cup squad.  The 20 year old is one the bright lights coming through for Portugal and it is thought he would command a fee of over £13m, although according to the report a complicated third party contract could make a deal hard to do.
