Ooooh Johnny Johnny…On his way??
With Johnny Heitinga voicing his opinions to the back end of last season about playing time or lack of is this an ideal time to sell on the Dutch international defender?
On paper John looks like he should be starting most games with a vast amount of experience at club level and international level, but as we blues saw last season, some of his performances where questionable mainly when playing against a powerful big striker such as our new boy Kone, Benteke at Goodison (3-3) and West Brom at him (2-1). I even recall Jay Rodriguez of Southampton out muscling and pacing him an going through on goal but missing. I believe he plays his best when up against a Defoe kind of striker.
The only hope he has of playing first team with us is that Martinez like his 3 center back, and he likes his ball playing center backs, who can come out of defense and pick a pass, and surely he must be better than Alcaraz?
So Blues would you say good bye to Mr Heitinga and if so how much for? Also what would you do with the money, another centre back or strengthen somewhere else?? Have your say at www.theevertonforum.com
sell him for 3m then sign christian atsu or manuel fernandes
How much do you know about Alcaraz to state Heitinga must be better? Lazy post and story
Alcatraz will star this season. Poor comment above.
Johnny to go to Turkey.
I would think Alcaraz is much better than Heitinga. Duffy probably is too. So yes, get what we can for him. And put towards McCarthy….he’s top drawer.
