Everton continue their week long training in Tenerife today and step up the workload after yesterdays gentle opener. Instead of the fitness work conducted yesterday, it seems that today focused on a lot more ball work, including keep the ball, attack v defence and dribbling to finishing practice.
The session took place between 9am and 11.30am before Slavia Prague entered onto the pitch to take the afternoon session. From pictures with a fan, you can see that Darron Gibson and Arouna Kone have both travelled despite their long term injuries. It seems manager Martinez want’s to keep the squad together as part of bonding while training. According to the photographer, Ross Barkley could not be made out to be training today, after Everton confirmed today that the midfielder fractured his toe last week. The positive spin on this is that it wasn’t the metatarsal as feared later last week.
