Rhino delighted with Pennington progress
Everton under 23’s manager David Unsworth was delighted to see Matthew Pennington return to action on Sunday against Sunderland under 23’s and says that he is the hardest working member of the squad.
The defender returned to action in the victory, which was his first match of the season and Unsworth was delighted.
“He looked magnificent – he looked like a Rolls Royce,” Unsworth eulogised. “I can tell you, if our lads work hard then Matty Pennington works even harder.
“He’s a workaholic and a wonderful lad. I’m absolutely delighted for him and that we could keep a clean sheet.”
Can Pennington force his way into the first team?

Sounds great, maybe save the £20m bid for Keane at Burnley and play Pennington! He has had a couple of games in 1st team and did well! Last season he was Coventry’s young player of the year after just 4 months, keeping regular centre backs out!
