    Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini is a transfer target for Russian side Zenit St Petersburg.

    The moneybags Russian club want to make the Everton midfielder the latest addition to their expensively assembled squad this summer.

    Fellaini’s form this season for Everton has attracted lots his services and the Daily Mail recently revealed that the player has a £23million break clause in his contract.

    A Zenit source told LifeSports: “The management expect to strengthen midfield. The signings will be of high quality. Marouane Fellaini is on the list. He has clearly proved himself for Everton.”

    Fellaini hasn’t been shy to talk up a move away from Goodison Park in the past. Last summer he claimed this could be his last season at Everton alerting clubs to his potential availability.

    He told Het Nieuwsblad: “I am just starting my fifth season at Everton, this will be one of my last. I have seen everything.”
