Ryan Ledson leaves Everton for Oxford United
Everton youngster Ryan Ledson has left the club and joined Oxford United for an undisclosed fee.
The England youth international has been highly rated at the club and shone while on loan at Cambridge United last season but has now left the club for the ambitious League One club.
Former player John Lundstram also plays for Oxford and will link up with his mate Ledson, who has recently been part of the England under 19’s set up.
He said: “It’s my first proper move and I’m really looking forward to it.
“I’ve come out on loan last year and now I’m ready to start my career properly now.
“(Cambridge) got me out playing real football and for lads my age nowadays they are happy to stay in the under 23s and reserve team football.
“I think it’s better to get out and play proper men’s football.”
Are you surprised Ledson has left?
