Everton have completed the signing of Malaga’s Spanish u21 striker Sandro Ramirez on a 4 year contract. Sandro joins for a fee of £5m and has been rumoured to take the now vacant number 9 shirt having scored 16 goals in 31 appearances for Malaga in La Liga last season.
Atletico Madrid also showed an interest in signing the former Barcelona forward but their transfer ban allowed Steve Walsh and Koeman to pounce for their man.
Sandro becomes Everton’s fourth signing of the summer, joining Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen and Henry Onyekuru. Burnley’s Michael Keane is also expected to complete a £25m deal this week as Everton continue their summer transfer spree. Wayne Rooney was also linked with a move back to his boyhood club today with Sky’s Jim White quoting Goodison sources as saying a move back was ‘inevitable’.
