Steve Walsh Everton Job under threat – Talks with successor begun
Steve Walsh’s Everton future is under threat according to the Liverpool Echo and talks with potential successor Marcel Brands have already begun.
Walshe’s role at the toffee’s has been a complete disaster so far and rumours of a huge upheaval at Goodison Park could be on the cards this summer.
Rumours that Bill Kenwright could leave the club this month are rife and CEO Robert Elstone is on the verge of joining the Super League, but now it’s Walsh who seems to also be under threat.
Walsh oversaw an Everton spending spree which topped £200m, but the season has been a disaster for the blues and many people have pinpointed the acquisitions made by Walsh as the reason.
Steve Walsh is still planning for next season but according to the report, exploratory talks have already begun with PSV Eindhoven sporting director Marcel Brands about joining the club.
