    Unsworth: Leandro looks a player – He’s been a great addition

    Everton under 21 coach David Unsworth believe that the club may have found a hidden gem in their addition of new South American striker Leandro Rodriguez.

    The 22 year old Uruguayan scored on his Everton debut for the under 21’s and the coach was impressed by his positioning and overall play, which will be of great delight to Evertonians.

    “I thought Leandro did great, he’s a very intelligent player and you could see that with some of the positions he got into.

    “He got his goal which was great and that settled him down. I thought he made some intelligent runs all night and could have possibly had a couple more goals.

    “It was great that he got 90 minutes under his belt and that will do him the world of good.

    “We are delighted with him, he’s been a great addition and he looks a player.”
