Vellios set for Everton exit
Forgotten Everton striker Apostolos Vellios is heading for the Goodison Park exit according to reports in Sports Direct News and Talksport.
Everton had been hoping to get the striker out on-loan to help with his development, but Vellios has always shown reluctance to do this, which has not gone down well with the Everton management team.
It is not known if the deal with be a loan or permanent with differing reports, but Sports Direct News claim that AEK Athens will put in a last minute low bid with an aim of securing the player permanently.
Vellios has always been on the periphery of the Everton team and many fans have often been impressed when they have seen him, but rumours of a poor attitude to training and reluctance to go on loan have not helped the Greek strikers cause.
Do you think it is the right decision to let Vellios leave the club? Have your say at www.theevertonforum.com
I think all the deadwood needs to be chucked out.If they are never going to play in the first team then why waste time on their training and money on their inflated wages. There are a slew of players bought as prospects who have either not made the grade or have displayed a poor attitude. If we ditched Strac last year, who always at least tried, why are we mwssing about with Junior,Guye and Vellios. If they were English born, they would be treated very differently.
