Why Everton WILL win the FA Cup this season
Despite struggling for consistency in the Premier League, Everton will face either West Ham United or Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley Stadium later this month. Roberto Martinez has come under scrutiny in recent weeks after a string of disappointing results but all will be forgiven if the Toffees go on to win the FA Cup this season.
Everton haven’t lifted the FA Cup since beating Sir Alex Ferguson’s United 1-0 in the 1995 final at the old Wembley Stadium and it would be fitting if the Toffees defeated Louis van Gaal’s men on their way to lifting the trophy this season. On their day, Everton are capable of beating United but Martinez’s side have lost twice to the Red Devils in their Premier League encounters this campaign.
However, it could be argued that the semi-final clash against either United or Slaven Bilic’s West Ham will be more difficult than beating either Watford or Crystal Palace in the final of the competition. Both sides are struggling for confidence right now, with the Hornets failing to score in seven of their last 10 league games whilst Alan Pardew’s side have not won a league match since before Christmas.
Prior to their cup semi-final, Everton will face Southampton and Martinez will be looking for his side to put in a good performance ahead of their Wembley clash. Punters may be looking to back the Toffees as they seek to impress the Spaniard before the FA Cup match and those looking for the best odds can use a basic odds comparison feature at Bookies.com to ensure they get value for money.
And for the Toffees to win the FA Cup this season, they will need the full support of the Goodison Park faithful. Tens of thousands of Everton fans will be heading down to Wembley and Martinez’s side will receive a huge boost from the incredible following. At the end of the day, Everton don’t reach semi-finals on a regular basis and supporters will be eager to help their side secure a second Wembley trip at the end of May.
Only time will tell but Everton fans should be quietly confident of their team’s chances despite a poor run of form. With the likes of Ross Barkley, Romelu Lukaku and Aaron Lennon in the side, the Toffees have enough quality to cause problems for England’s top sides and they are more than good enough to beat either West Ham or Manchester United.
With Martinez’s future up in the air, it may be the Spaniard’s final chance to convince the Everton fans, board and most importantly, Farhad Moshiri that he is the right man for the job. And with so much at stake, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see the Toffees go all the way and lift the trophy at Wembley this season.
All will be forgiven your joking
Hahahahaha
Can’t see it happening not with RM in charge, Hope im very wrong but signs arent good! If we lose at Watford, then El Dickhead has to go on the spot! THEN we might win the Cup, then Everton would be free of Martinez’s poison and go on to achieve better things, Like Winning!!!
